Ingrelo photographs an ingredient list, reads the text on your device, and explains each ingredient — its function, its benefits, and cautions such as acne triggers, irritation risk and pregnancy-related warnings. You can personalise the notes with your skin type, skin goals and special states.

Frequently asked questions

The App could not find an ingredient list. What should I do?

Most scans fail for one of three reasons: the label is not an ingredient list (for example, the front of the package with marketing text), the photo is too small or out of focus, or the label is a nutrition panel rather than an ingredient list. Try filling the frame with the ingredient text, avoid glare, and hold the phone roughly 15–25 cm from the label. Ingrelo tells you which of these it detected so you know whether to retake the photo.

What do the result colours mean?

Each ingredient is marked green, yellow or red. Green means the ingredient is generally well tolerated, yellow means it may be a concern for some people or in some situations, and red means there is a notable concern worth checking — for example, an ingredient that is commonly comedogenic, a known irritant, or one that should be avoided during pregnancy. These are general assessments, not a judgement about you.

Is Ingrelo medical advice?

No. Ingrelo provides general information about ingredients and is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Always consult a qualified professional about allergies, prescription treatments, pregnancy and diagnosed skin conditions, and patch-test new products.

Does it work with food and drink labels?

Yes — it can read those labels too. The analysis is focused on ingredients rather than nutrition, so it is most useful for cosmetics, personal-care products, and checking what is inside a food or drink product.

Which languages are supported?

The app interface is available in English, Chinese and Japanese. Ingredient labels in those languages can be scanned. The scanning language is independent of the interface language, so you can read a Japanese label with an English interface.

Why is an ingredient described as an "estimated name" or "reference name"?

When the label is partially unreadable, the App may suggest a product name based on what it could read. Names marked as estimates are generated from the visible text and may be inaccurate — always check the physical package.

How do I delete my data?

See the Data Deletion page. In short: you can clear your profile in the App or delete the App, and you can email us to request deletion of anything held on our side.

How do I report a wrong ingredient assessment?

Email support@ingrelo.com with the ingredient name and what you believe is incorrect. Corrections are reviewed and, where warranted, applied to the ingredient knowledge used by the App.

Purchases and refunds

The currently distributed version of Ingrelo has no in-app purchases. If you see a charge from the App Store, it is handled by Apple: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
